How to Apply UV Transfers to a Substrate

Learn how to achieve the best results with Resolute UV transfers. Follow these quick steps to prepare your substrate, apply the transfer, and ensure a long-lasting, professional finish. Perfect for a variety of hard, non-flexible surfaces.

Before you start:


  • Always test on a sample substrate first before full application.
  • Substrate must be thoroughly cleaned with a wet IPA wipe, then dried using a lint-free cloth.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Clean the Substrate
    1. Ensure the substrate is wiped down with IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol), removing all dust and oils.

  1. Dry the Substrate
    1. Make sure the surface is completely dry before proceeding.

  1. Peel the Transfer
    1. Carefully peel the UV transfer away from the backing sheet.

  1. Apply the Transfer
    1. Place the transfer directly onto the prepared surface, ensuring correct positioning.

      Note: Once applied, the transfer cannot be repositioned or removed.

  1. Rub the Transfer
    1. Firmly rub down the entire transfer, ensuring good adhesion.

  1. Peel Laminate (if applicable)
    1. Carefully peel away any laminate layer, if included.

Aftercare:

  • Allow 48 hours for the adhesive to fully bond.
  • Hand wash only recommended.
  • Avoid scrubbing the decorated area.
  • Not suitable for surfaces that flex, stretch, get hot, or require abrasive cleaning.
