Begin by cancelling any remaining print jobs and feeding any printed film through the finisher. [00:37]
Locate the film feed spool switch on the back of the printer and turn it to the middle position. [00:50]
Raise the pinch rollers to release the film, ensuring the correct switch is used for V4 printers. [01:01]
Remove the empty tube by loosening the right-hand side spool and slide it out of the way. [01:10]
Slide the new roll onto the left film spool, ensuring it's on the widest part, and then slide the right side spool into the tube. [01:20]
Grip both spools and push them together to ensure the film is tightly gripped, then tighten the screw on the right spool. [01:27]
Carefully remove any tape from the roll and pull the film under the tension bar. [01:39]
Feed the film forward by turning the roll forward with one hand and supporting the cut edge with the other. [01:50]
Once enough film is fed forward, press the electric lever button to lower the pinch wheels, ensuring fingers are out of the way. [02:01]
Go to the front of the printer, get hold of the film, and press the electric lever switch to lift the pinch wheels. [02:11]
Pull the film tight against the tension bar, ensuring the tension bar is flat against the top of its tracks. [02:20]
Lower the pinch wheels by pressing the electric lever switch again. [02:32]
Turn the film feed spool to the one position and slide the film guides back over the edges of the film. [02:37]
Feed roughly 30 cm of film through, support the film on the bed with one hand, and press the electric lever button with the other. [02:55]
After a couple of seconds, press the button again to lower the pinch wheels, allowing any bubbles to flatten. [03:03]
Feed a little more film through until the tape mark is past the print carriage. [03:09]
